WEST PASCO LITTLE LEAGUE FLORIDA

Frequently asked questions

1. CAN MY SON / DAUGHTER PLAY AT WEST PASCO LITTLE LEAGUE?
Yes, If your child is "league aged" 4 1/2 - 16, and either lives in our boundaries or attends a school within our boundary zone. To find our boundaries, click on "contact us" then "league boundaries".

2. HOW DO I REGISTER MY PLAYER?
You may either register online using a credit card or attend our in-person registration. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Check, Cash or Money Order. If you are new to our league, proof of age (birth certificate) and proof if residency is required.

3.CAN SIBLINGS BE PLACED ON THE SAME TEAM?
Yes, in some circumstances. The siblings must be eligible for the same division, and a request must be made at the time of registration.

4. CAN MY SON PLAY ON THE SAME TEAM AS HIS FRIEND?
In some circumstances, yes. A friend request can be made for the lower divisions. (AA and below.) We will do our best to accommodate your request however please note that this isn't always possible. For the upper divisions (AAA  and above) friend requests are not accepted. Players in these divisions are evaluated and placed appropriately or drafted and therefore we can not accommodate friend requests.

5. CAN I REQUEST A SPECIFIC MANAGER / COACH?
Every season we have many requests, and in many incidences more requests than spaces available on a team. Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate most requests and we apologize in advance and thank you for your understanding. It is our goal to evenly distribute players among the teams to create balanced divisions.

6. WHEN DOES THE SEASON START? HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
All players will be notified of their team placement by Sept, 05 2019 . Team practice will begin about that time. Games will begin mid Sept and the season will be complete before Thanksgiving.

7. HOW DO I KNOW WHAT DIVISION MY CHILD SHOULD PLAY IN?
On the top menu, click on "League divisions". Find your child's league age then you can determine which division he is eligible for. In addition, after registering your child, only available divisions will be shown, A few things to note.. ALL league age 6 year olds must have played a season of teeball before moving up to the AA division. If a parent registers a 6 year old in AA/rookies and they have not played a season of teeball, they will be moved to the teeball division. All league age 9-16 year olds will attend a tryout or evaluation for the spring season. (For the fall they are distributed by the player agent.)  All league age 9 year olds will be placed on a AAA / minors team. League age 10 & 11 year olds may get drafted to a majors team. If not, they will be placed on a AAA/minors team. All League age 12 year olds will be drafted to a majors team unless a waiver is requested. If your son/daughter has already been drafted to a majors, juniors or seniors team, they will remain on that team until moving up to the next division.

8. HOW DO I REGISTER FOR THE 50/70 (INTERMEDIATE) TEAM?
Intermediate is a competitive division that follows Junior rules (runners can lead off) on a smaller field. Any player league age 12 or 13 that would like to be considered for the intermediate division must send an email of intent to [email protected] to be possibly considered.   All interested players are subject to a try out or evaluation to be considered for a spot on the team. All games in the intermediate division will require travel and will take place on Wednesday and Saturday evenings.
