If you have never umpired before you are missing out.  When kids see umpires out there it lights up their faces.  They feel like real baseball players out there playing on the fields.  Yes, at times you have to deal with parents who do not volunteer but instead comment from the side lines about things going on on the fields; however, that is what the team managers and fellow parent volunteers are there to support you.  The joys of volunteer work and seeing so many players excited to have you out there far surpass any aversions to umpiring.  Please consider volunteering some time Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday to cover some baseball game assignments.

Parents can be introduced to volunteer work at our league by volunteering their time to work the concession stand with Justin.
Another HUGE area of need is just helping with upkeep and improvement of our little league park.  Yes, it is a county owned park but we can improve our parent and player experience by tending to more than 1 person can do at such a large complex in a 40 hour work week.  Please consider offering some of your time to pressure wash, edge, rake, paint, and perform general maintenance repairs.

You can reach out to [email protected] for more information or to offer to volunteer.
