West Pasco Little League

A - Coach Pitch Division

Coach Pitch division or "A" ball is for players league age 5 - 6 (league age calendar) who most often have played at least a season of tee ball.  League age 7 & 8 players are included as needed based on prior playing experience and/or ability.  If registering for this division please note which team or league your child(ren) played for last.  If no prior experience is noted, or can be confirmed, the player may be asked to attend a league evaluation date during the preseason to be eligible for this division.

WPLL does typically seek head coaches for this division.  WPLL works around the availability of our head coaches.  Please consider registering as a head coach or an assistant coach when registering your child, if there is interest and we will be in touch to discuss the role further.  Registering does not guarantee selection.  WPLL does offer a coaching coordinator to assist our head coaches, as they need.

Roster sizes are kept smaller than in older divisions but will typically be larger than in tee ball, typically 8 - 10.  The smaller roster sizes ensure your son/daughter have more one on one instruction to begin establishing a solid foundation of baseball fundamentals, while maximizing the enjoyment of youth sports.

Games are on Saturday's.  A night game, at the end of the season, will be scheduled during the week.  Occasionally, depending on head coach's availabilities, a weekday game may be scheduled.

"Practice is held once per week.
The specific day is determined by the head coach.  Additional practices may be added by the head coach.  If a specific day(s) of the week is/are not feasible for your family please include this information when completing registration.

Requests for a specific coach or friend(s) are granted up to team roster limits in this division.  Preseason evaluations are determined based on players prior playing experience, which is known or can be confirmed.

If you encounter any issues registering your child please email or message us on Facebook for assistance completing your player(s) registration.  Thank you!
