GENERAL INFORMATION:
Please see the travel league age calendar as travel baseball league ages are not the same as the little league age calendar. Mamba Baseball may have rosters for of 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U, 15U, and 16U teams. Roster sizes per age group may vary. In the event there are not enough players for a specific age group to compete in the tournament schedule in their age group families may be given the option to participate in an older group, only if that player displays the capabilities for that group and fits the team needs. This program will not be a pay to play program.
Mamba Baseball and West Pasco Little League's intention is to partner together to further improve the vast number of talented young athletes from the West Pasco community who wish to participate and succeed in both the LL program and compete in travel baseball tournaments. Similar to WPLL, Mamba Baseball has at its core values an emphasis on player development all while maintaining a player's health and well being, both physically and mentally, for each players long term success. The Mambas Baseball program and the West Pasco Little League program are separate programs who merely have aligned goals and emphasis.
WHY A FAMILY SHOULD CONSIDER MAMBA BASEBALL:
The majority of families are more than satisfied with any communities Little League program and that is fantastic. We hope and expect nothing less at West Pasco LL. However, the reality is some families have or grow an interest in competing in other programs. Through this venture it will allow a child to enjoy competing in both programs. Allowing a player to build their social network and learn about the importance of community. No longer is it necessary to remove a child from their known baseball family at West Pasco LL. In addition a huge benefit for parents is that there will be an effort to coordinate scheduling to allow your children to enjoy the skills and values instilled by both programs each season.
NO PROFIT FOR WPLL:
We want to be clear to all parents at West Pasco Little League that WPLL will not profit from this partnership. Each Mamba team (age group) will have their own accounts separate from the WPLL organization and from any other Mamba Baseball team. Monies collected provide Mamba players with uniforms, tournament entry fees, umpire fees, and supplies. All monies spent by a team will be transparent to all families on that specific team and the President of West Pasco Little League or another designated board of director to maintain this partnership.
TOURNAMENT COSTS:
An average weekend tournament will cost each player on a team approximately $40-$80. Prices can vary depending on the tournament. It is not required to participate in every tournament. However, a player (family) choosing not to participate in tournaments repeatedly may result in another player being added to that roster to ensure the collective team is able to participate.
UNIFORMS COSTS:
Team uniforms will be required to be purchased. The approximate cost per uniform(s) could vary per team. Please speak to your respective team manager. Practice jerseys can also be purchased by each family or by the entire team.
FUNDRAISING:
It is important families participate in fundraising to help enrich a teams experience. The funding for each team will remain with that specific age group throughout the time that age group is competing in the Mamba Baseball program. Monies remaining after an age group ages out of competition or no longer is participating will then be evenly dispersed to the younger age groups to pay it forward.
REGISTER FOR TRYOUTS:
More information including location and time of tryout is available when you select the link to register for a Mamba Baseball tryout. If no programs are showing available then a team is not currently available at that age group; however, you may email the head coach of a specific team to inquire about the possibility to guest play, when needed. All players selected to a team must attend a teams tryout. It is free to register for a tryout but please remember that participation in the Mamba Baseball program will not be permitted if not registered with West Pasco Little League in the spring seasons. Again, the partnership is to ensure all players are getting more reps and time on the baseball field to develop their playing skill set and leadership abilities on and off the diamond.
